2005 PDF Print E-mail
In 2005 we continued our work in ethnically divided communities such Prijedor and Sanski Most are, together with our local partner organizations and respectable individuals from this region, establishing a dialogue between various target groups – local politicians, professors, NGO-s, and independent media supporting the process of integration and educational reform.
Activities which were implemented with politicians and municipal workers from Prijedor and Sanski Most are an example of the continuation of the cooperation between those municipalities, as the result of the conference “Prijedor Sanski Most 1992 – 2004 -2010” that we organized in the end of 2004.

In cooperation with Theater company “Wolf and Water” from Great Britain we organized a follow – up of the project “Reintegration of IDP-s, returnees, refugees and domestic population, inter-ethnic dialogue activities in Prijedor municipality”. We organized five additional performances, both in Republika Srpska and Federation of BiH. The overall aim of the project is to address the problem of inter-ethnic communication, re-integration of multi-ethnic group of people in the Prijedor municipality and their mutual co-operation.

In 2005 NDC Banjaluka organized and broadcasted TV talk shows BUKA in cooperation with Centre for Informative Decontamination of Youth and Alternativna TV station (ATV) from Banjaluka. Some of the shows were rebroadcast on entity television RTRS and TV Mostar in the south of BiH, and with this we made conditions for significant higher rating of the show because of the possibility to cover the whole territory of BiH with our show.

We continued with the project “Upbringing and education for human rights”, in cooperation with OSCE BiH and NGO “Mali Korak” from Croatia organizing two basic seminars for teachers from Prijedor and Sanski Most. The aim of the project is to provide teachers from the most critical areas, who are recognized as a key-role player in implementation of the educational reforms, with tools for promotion and practice of Human Rights, through intensive three day interactive and participatory training in a multi-ethnic environment. The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the process of increasing possibility of (re)integration of minorities and returnees in local community and a sustainable return

At the very end of the year NDC Banjaluka got involved in the project of Research and Documentation Centre from Sarajevo “Population losses in BiH 92-95” with the organization of public presentations on data of killed and missing persons during the previous conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina. First public presentation took place in Banjaluka, and was organized by NDC Banjaluka. This activity was implemented on the BH Nansen Network level.
During second part of the year NDC Banjaluka was also involved in Network projects: Divided communities and Virtual school of dialogue.
